With regard to the exceptional extensions that the enforcement authority of Decree No. 572/94 (Education and Training Regulations for Embarked Personnel of the Merchant Navy -REFOCAPEM- of the Argentine Republic), the Undersecretariat for Ports, Waterways and Merchant Marine, has authorized with respect to the validity of titles and certificates, with the aim to prioritize the work continuity of the Merchant Navy personnel. These were the object of Circular Letter No. 4287 and its revisions.
In this regard, the enforcement authority has granted, on an exceptional basis, an additional extension of the validity, until 30 June 2024*, of the Titles and Certificates of overseas, waterways and fisheries (officers and ratings) with expiry date between 30 June 2023 and 30 March 2024.
In order to benefit from this extension, the interested party should have submitted the required documents before the expiry date.
